Committed to State-of-the-Art & Comfortable Dental Experiences
- Digital X-Rays: Sharper Images, Less Radiation
- Soft Tissue Laser: Fast & Painless Gum Therapy
- Cavity Detection System: No More Poking & Prodding!
With our Carestream intraoral camera, we can guarantee that nothing gets past us during your routine exams. About the size of a pen, this device fits easily into the mouth where it takes high-resolution images of your teeth, gums, and other oral structures. This allows us to clearly see your entire oral cavity so we can easily identify any decay or damage as early as possible. We can even show you the images on a nearby monitor so that you can always know what is going on with your oral health.
Many dental issues have initial signs that are hidden from the naked eye, but digital X-rays allow us to easily catch them. We only use digital X-rays as opposed to traditional film because they capture images with much more detail; they also only take a fraction of the time to develop. Plus, they emit much less radiation—as much as 90% less, which helps many patients feel more relaxed in the treatment chair.
Soft Tissue Laser
For patients struggling with gum disease, laser dentistry offers a gentle, precise, and extremely effective way to remove harmful bacteria without affecting the sensitive soft tissues in the mouth. A small, concentrated beam of light is able to literally vaporize bacteria below the gum line while also cauterizing blood vessels and sanitizing the treatment area. The end result is that most patients don’t even need local anesthetic to remain completely comfortable during the treatment, and the recovery time is practically nonexistent as well!
Cavity Detection System
Back in the day, the only way your dentist could search for cavities was to poke and prod your teeth, but thankfully, technology has come a long way in the past few years. Now, our team can simply scan your teeth with a special light that immediately highlights any damage or decay that could lead to a bigger problem down the road. This allows our team to intervene quickly and provide treatment, helping a patient avoid more serious issues while also preserving their natural teeth over time.
